DESCRIPTION:
Except Himalayan region, Curry Leaf tree is grown in most parts of the countries like India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal ( Indian subcontinent). Its presence can also be noticed in Burma. Curry Leaf Oil is obtained from curry plant through steam distillation method.
AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:
The top note fragrance of this essential oil has slightly bitter and spicy smell.
CONSTITUENTS:
Curry Leaf Oil contains compounds like ß-bisabolene (0.3), ß-gurjunene (1.9), ß-thujene (0.4), ß-cadinene (0.2ppm), ß-trans-ocimene, ß-elemene (0.6), ), a-selinene (0.3), ß-caryophyllene (2.6ppm) and ß-phellandrene (0.5).
COMMON NAMES:
This oil is commonly referred as Curry Leaves Oil, Curry Leaf Essential Oil and Curry Leaves oil.
USES:
In aromatherapy, Curry Leaf Oil is used to treat hair fall, diabetes and skin pigmentation problem, although there is no established clinical proof about its therapeutic value.
