DESCRIPTION:

Evergreen plant Atlas Cedar is the source of Atlas Cedarwood Oil. Featured with bluish green or blue needles, the extracted oil of this plant can be easily blended with other essential oils like orange, frankincense, cedar wood, rose, ylang ylang and neroli. The medicinal properties of this oil are effective in curing a number of health conditions associated with cellulite and bronchitis to name a few. This oil is used as an important element to formulate insect repellants.

CONSTITUENTS:

The obtained oil contains compounds like cedrol sequiterpenes, himachalene (5.1-8.6%), ß-himachalene (23.4-40.4%), terpenic hydrocarbons, a-himachalene (7.4-16.4%) and (E)-a-atlantone (5.2-29.5%).

AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:

Middle note fragrance of this essential oil has distinctive sweet smell that resembles to the aroma of wood extracted aromatic oils. The scent of this oil is stronger than Virginian Cedarwood. Its pleasant smell reminds about mothballs.

Atlas Cedarwood Oil can be mixed with other essential oils like bergamot, cedarwood, frankincense, juniper berry, citrus oils that include grapefruit oils, floral oils, bergamot clove, clary sage, rosewood, neroli, rose, rosemary, orange, ylang ylang, herbal oils and lavender.
