In Greek its name means ‘royal remedy’ or ‘king’. In the 16th century, powdered basil was used to treat migraines and chest infections. It is a pale yellow to clear oil having an intensely fresh, sweet-spicy herbaceous and a vibrant aroma. This annual herb belongs to the mint family and is an erect, erbaceous, much branched, soft hairy plant. These herbs are organically cultivated and are “Indian Organic Certified”.

The oil contains various chemical compounds that include a-pinene, camphene, b-pinene, limonene, myrcene, cis-ocimene, camphor, methyl chavicol, linalool, y-terpineol, citronellol, geraniol, methyl cinnamate and eugenol.
