Known for its woody fragrance, Amyris oil is derived from the wood of tree which is classified under rue category of plant. Commonly referred as West Indian sandal wood oil, its smell slightly resembles to the aroma of balsam. This essential oil is appreciated for its sedative, anti septic, soothing, balsamic and stress relieving properties. This oil is used for meditation purpose.

This amyris oil contains elements like elemol, valerianol, Amyris balsamifera, Amyris, gamma-eudesmol and beta-eudesmol.
